Motivation where are you?

Isn't it stupid when you know you're eating crap and you know it makes you feel worse, but you keep doing it anyway. I wish I could bottle the feeling I get when I get on the scales and I have a loss, the feeling when you've eaten within points all week and you get such a buzz cos you're feeling awake, alive, fantastic, skinny and beautiful.

Why can't I remember that now and turn myself around again?

I guess if we knew the answer to that we'd be making a fortune selling our ideas to others in our position.

I guess i'll go and re-read a few of my early posts and see if I can't find a morsel of motivation in there somewhere.

Plan for this week:

Walk EVERY day at lunchtime, even if it's only for 5 or 10 minutes, it's better than nothing. This is the minimum I will be doing this week:

Monday - 10 minute walk - 10 minutes done (1 lap)
Tuesday - 10 minute walk - 17 minutes done (5 laps)
Wednesday - Cleaning at work (30 mins) 40 minutes done
10 minute walk 22 minutes done (7 laps)
Squash (60 minutes) 60 minutes done
Thursday - 10 minute walk - boo hoo it's raining.
Friday - 10 minute walk - 60 minutes working on the archives at work - this was a big job and my arms are aching today so I must have had a good workout!!
Saturday - 10 minute walk
Sunday - 10 minute walk

WEEKLY EXERCISE TOTAL: 209 minutes

Next week i'll increase it to 15 minutes each day.

If I feel hungry - drink water, eat fruit or have a cup of coffee and wait 15 minutes to see if it's really hunger or if it's my imagi-min-ation playing tricks on me (thanks Homer Simpson!!).

Good luck with your plan for this week!!
It is hard to get motivation - and out of the 'eat crap' cycle...going over your early posts is a great idea, and you have made a plan which is a great start!!

o god.

I am SOOOO with you on this.

It's all about getting the "shrinking" feeling back and enjoying it.

Will do a long blog tonight about it but hopefully we can motivate each other. :-)

Go Bri, go Bri! Briony, Briony, she's our man, if she can't do it no one can.

yeeeeAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

That's my cheerleading routine to motivate you. Did it work or do I need to break out the pom-poms?

I can so relate to your post and lost motivation. I lost mine a while ago and no matter what I do can't seem to get it back for more than a few days.
Great to see you went for a walk at lunchtime today, that's fantastic.
Looks like you have a great plan for the week and all the best with it.

I think we can all identify with this... you're not the only one that's for sure! It's a double edged sword... you know you can't eat it because of the good scale feeling, but good scale feeling makes us think we deserve it in a way? *sigh* WHy cant it be EASY!!!

I hear you loud and clear!

Seriously Bri, I think the best thing you can do is have diversionary tactics! Mine are, getting on the net to read blogs, go for a walk, drink a can of diet coke, eat popcorn! oh and have a coffee!

However, after my 10 spoonfulls of milo last night I still need to keep working at it!I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT!!!!!

You just have to keep going!

Have a great week!

Don't forget Kathryn's great mantra - stop dicking around!

Bloody imagi-min-ations. We should really stop letting them take control, shouldn't we? It's ok... you know that you can take charge again.

BTW, since when did Kathryn become your cheer squad? I know I've been MIA recently, but I have two good excuses! Please give me another chance...
