Weigh in No 10.

I didn't weigh in last week (big hangover!!). So I was quite surprised when I got on the scales at WW and the lady told me I had lost 2.4 kg! WTF???? I said "are you sure", she told me to get back on the scales and yep, I lost 2.4kg! Pffft. I have no idea what I did (obviously this is a loss for two weeks not just one). I haven't exercised except for playing squash on a Wednesday night and I haven't been tracking, but I must be doing something right.
My scales at home showed a loss of 400gms for the week so i'm happy with that. Not long now til i'm a 60's chick!
One of my biggest phobias in life is the dentist. I haven't been for about 6 years and even then I had the initial appointment and never went back, i'm such a big wuss. Anyhow, I made an appointment through the week and they fitted me in this morning at 8.30am. I didn't wuss out and not turn up. I was very brave and I went (and I cried, but that's okay, it's better to be scared and go than to be scared and not turn up, right??).
They were lovely, really nice people and very respectful and mindful of my situation. I had to fill in a form when I got there, as you do, which asked if I had any allergies. I said "dentists" haha. Even in times of stress I still have my sense of humour. The dentist explained everything she was doing and she was so gentle with me.
I have to go back next week and have a filling removed, some grinding done and the filling put back. I'm okay about it because they were so nice. I'm still going to be scared but i'm going to do this. I'm so proud of myself today.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
Bri

Congratulations and well done. Not only on the great loss of 2.4 kilos (which is 1.2 per week)but for making the appointment and keeping it with the dentist. I totally understand this one. I really hate needles but hate going to the dentist worse.
Keep up the great work and have a great weekend.

Well done Bri, what a fantastic loss. Whatever you're doing is working so keep it up.

I get really worked up about going to the dentist but then I remember that the pain they inflict is nowhere near as bad as the toothache that got me there in the first place. Just remember as they're putting in the needle, wiggle your toes. Trust me xx

Well done on the loss and even more so on making it to the dentist. I'm dentophobic myself (a word of my own invention!) and understand exactly how you feel. I now manage to go once every two years, but only becuase they know me and because I take Valium before I go - a drug we have plenty of because of Mark's neurological condition.

Hey gorgeous!

Well done on the loss.
Having worked for a denist in the past, I can tell you that if you make the Dentist aware of the fact you are scared, it makes all the difference! I think Dentists these days are much better at handling patients who are apprehensive and actually ackowledge that it isn't a personal thing, it's just some people are genuinely afraid! Sorry I'm on my soapbox here!

Well done on not eating HEAPS of crap. Think how far you have come!

Have a great week!

Well done on the loss, you must be doing something!! Good going with the dentist too. It sure helps when they're really nice because it's such an intimate experience too :-)

60's here comes beautiful Bri! Well done, and well done on the dentist! I can totally relate. I am the same. I found a dentist and told them in advance how scared I was, and I did the same thing on the form under allergies - I wrote Dentist! LOL Mine is very nice and gentle too.

Good luck at the dentist. You were very brave (I hate them too) and I am glad she was nice to you.

Yeah yeah! What a legend. How's the Brichellee challenge going? You must be doing something right!

Wish your dentist lived up here. I need two root canals done and I know they'll be so bad by the time I work up the courage to go... Oops.

Great stuff babe. I love losses like that, unfortunately they are not really a given with pregnancy.
