Another week over

Thanks everyone for your nice comments about my whingey post. I'm feeling a bit better about life today. Sometimes everything just gets on top of me and I get a bit down I guess. Life is how it is and even though it's not perfect, at least it's 'mostly okay' and not mostly crap.

I've been very sleep deprived this week and that doesn't help either. DS has been waking up every night wanting to come into our bed, but we've got to stop him getting into that habit I guess and so i've spent a couple of hours every night (or every early morning) trying to get him back to sleep in his own bed. I even got in there with him last night cos I was so tired myself.

Anyway, now I have a bad head cold, which is not good considering the band has a show tomorrow night. I'm just hoping that my voice doesn't go.

MIL is coming to look after DS while we're playing and DH and I are taking advantage and going out for dinner tonight while she's here so maybe we can sort some stuff out.

My exercise was better this week and I have even started playing squash again with one of the girls from work. We only booked the court for half an hour because it's been a while since we played and we thought half an hour would be enough, but actually we could have gone for the whole hour. I guess that proves to me that i'm a lot fitter than I used to be. We've booked an hour next week. It was great fun and good to get out of the house for a little while too.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Only 5 weeks til City to Surf now (not that i'm entering - it would kill me) but a lot of you guys are. I will be entering next year for sure.

Arrrggh... only 5 weeks. I'm going to die.

Sleep deprivation is awful.

You angel. I thought it was only 4 weeks, now I have an extra week - yipppeeee. OK I know I am only excited because that gives me an extra week to plan Oscars party (which is on the Saturday morning - yes I am a glutton for punishment LOL)

I am glad you are going to get a chance to have some adult time. It is tough to fit it in and I hope it all goes well.

Re the sleeping in his own bed. I am a bit of a heartless cow and after Oscars teeth started feeling better I went back to the normal bed routine of putting him to bed, having a little cuddle, then letting him cry and put himself to sleep after I refuse to open the door again!! I hope I can afford the therapy when he needs it ;)

*hugs*

p.s. I am at home sick today too. My cold has flared up AND I have ugly red sticky eyes. Yuck... I think the sleeplessness and stress are paying out on our bodies.

I was strict on the boys staying in their own beds from the start - they hate the door closed, so are threatend with the door being closed if they don't go to sleep!

Have a great time out alone with hubby:)

I hated being sleep deprived so I used to let Josh come into our bed but I made him sleep in the middle of us which he hated. It didn't last long. You have to do whatever works for you. Have a great weekend.

Glad you ar efeeling a bit better emotionally. Sorry about the cold, I am sure the lack of sleep was a contibuting factor. And as for the exercise, well done. Of course you have to do the C2S next year now you have blogged that you will. Enjoy band tonight.

Ahh and sleep deprivation is when you should definitely NOT make any decisions. Sorry, I think I may have been a bit full on in my previous comment. We'll be seeing you soon!
